Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is a 360º digital art exhibition at the Mercantile Center in Worcester that invites you to step into the universe of Vincent van Gogh.

–Teddy Bear Toss, this Sunday, Dec. 8th… Puck drops at 3:05.  Bring your teddy bears, everyone’s favorite holiday tradition is back!  Whenever the Railers score their first goal, fans are encouraged to throw any stuffed animals they brought onto the ice! These will then be donated to Friendly House and Boys and Girls Club Worcester ahead of the Holidays. Bring as many plushies as you want and toss those teddies!
 
The Boston Common Tree Lighting
The 83rd annual Boston Common Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place this Thursday, December 5th from 6-8 pm.
The tree lighting ceremony will include the official Christmas tree for the city of Boston, as well as nearly 80 other trees throughout Boston Common and the Public Garden. The lights are expected to sparkle around 7:55 PM. The ceremony will be broadcast on WCVB Channel 5’s Holiday Lights special, which begins at 7 PM.  The tree is a gift from the province of Nova Scotia to the city of Boston as a token of appreciation for the help Boston provided after the Halifax Explosion in 1917. The tradition of sending a tree to Boston has continued every year since 1971. 
 
Join us for the Worcester Common Festival of Lights and Tree Lighting THIS Friday, Dec. 6th.  The festival will include:
  • Light displays: A variety of light displays, including the tree lighting at 6 pm, the “Illuminaciones” installation, and interactive snow people
  • Live music: Award-winning singer Michelle Brooks-Thompson will perform after the tree lighting
  • Ice skating: Free ice skating, with skates available to rent for $5
  • Food vendors: Food vendors will be on site
  • Face painting: Face painting will be available
  • Street performers: Street performers will be performing
The Festival of Lights is the first night of the city’s winter lighting installation, which will be on display from December 1, 2024 through February 28, 2024.
 
Annual Worcester Canal District Holiday Stroll, THIS Saturday, December 7th.
 
The Shrewsbury Street Santa Pub Crawl returns to Worcester’s “Restaurant Row” on THIS Saturday, Dec. 7 starting at 2 PM.  The annual event  is three hours of fun at 10 popular spots along Shrewsbury Street.  Tickets are $20 and include food samples, a beer ticket and a Santa hat. The Museum of Ice Cream (including a Sprinkle Pool) will open its Boston location in the Seaport District on Saturday, December 14th.
 
Globetrotters 2025 World Tour at the DCU Center Sunday, January 5th at 3 pm.
