Join Jen Carter and the 104-5 XLO Street Team at the 2025 Central MA Heart & Stroke Walk on Saturday, June 7th. The Heart & Stroke Walk is a fun, family-friendly event that brings our community together to get active, raise life-saving funds, and support the mission of the American Heart Association. Whether you’re a seasoned walker or just looking for a great day out, join us to celebrate heart health, honor survivors, and remember loved ones affected by heart disease and stroke. Lace up your sneakers for a day filled with music, activities, and camaraderie. Through fundraising and community engagement, the Heart & Stroke Walk aims to enhance CPR training accessibility, bolster bystander preparedness, increase funding for vital research, and ultimately, save lives.
The Out to Lunch series is back and bigger than ever this year, with 10 festival dates every Wednesday from June 18 through August 20. Each event takes place from 11 am to 3 pm on the Worcester Common Oval. It’s the perfect excuse to get out for your lunch break, spend time enjoying the historic Worcester Common, and explore the best of Worcester right here in the heart of the city this summer.
The Movies on the Common returns this summer. The 104-5 XLO Street Team will be there handing out samples of Polar Seltzer’s Summer flavors all night long. Movies on the Common dates are as follows:
June 12: Youth Pride Night, produced in partnership with SWAGLY and Pride Worcester – The Wizard of Oz
July 10: Christmas in July, produced in partnership with The Hanover Theatre & Conservatory – Spirited
August 14: Family Movie Night – Inside Out 2
September 11: Musical Night – Wicked
Polar Park Food Truck, Beer & Bev Fest on Saturday, June 28th (with a rain date of Sunday, June 29th). From 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, come enjoy a wide variety of tasty food and refreshing beverages while taking in live entertainment. Roam the outfield and concourse of our beautiful ballpark, and get in on the action with exciting games and activities for all ages. Whether you’re a foodie, craft beer enthusiast, or just looking for a good time, this event has something for everyone!
Polar Park 4th of July Family Fest on Friday, July 4th, running from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM! Enjoy a variety of family activities, including inflatable blow-ups, face painters, glitter tattoo artists, balloon artists, stilt walkers, Touch a Truck on Summit Street, family photos in the dugout, and the exciting WooCages experience. At 7:00 PM, settle in for a special outdoor screening of the beloved classic, “The Sandlot” (runtime: 8:42 PM). As the sun sets at 8:27 PM, get ready for an unforgettable Firework Show launching shortly after the movie ends around 8:45 PM.
