The Out to Lunch series is back and bigger than ever this year, with 10 festival dates every Wednesday from June 24 through August 26. Each event takes place from 11 am to 3 pm on the Worcester Common Oval. It’s the perfect excuse to get out for your lunch break, spend time enjoying the historic Worcester Common, and explore the best of Worcester right here in the heart of the city this summer. Mark your calendars for the following 2026 Out to Lunch Festival & Farmers’ Market dates: June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, August 5, August 12, August 19 & August 26. Saturday, August 15 Flock to Feather Fest at the Ecotarium on August 15TH! Meet Parrots, owls, & other feathered friends. Practice your bird calls & spy some frequent flyers. It is a day packed with wings, wonder, & discovery. Details at ECOTARIUM.org.
Friday, August 21 Friendly House, MA is bringing back its annual Summer Block Party from 2-4 pm. This free community event is all about helping kids head back to school with confidence while bringing our community together for a day of fun. Saturday, August 22 The Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present “Holden Days”, a town-wide celebration that takes place from 9 am to 3 pm. Now in its 46th year, this annual event promises great food, fun and entertainment for the entire family, as well as promotional opportunities for area businesses and organizations.
A sampling of the 2026 activities includes free Main Stage performances by Decades by Dezyne and Holdin’ Back the 60’s, fun activities and demonstrations in the Kids Court, an auto showcase, Farmers Market, and bandstand performances by Check it Twice.
There is something for everyone to enjoy! You can wander through the Damon House Marketplace to discover area businesses and non-profits, check out local talent at the Art Lot and Craft Corner, enjoy free activities in the Kids Court, and stop by the Food Court for a delicious breakfast or lunch!
